Sidman, George D. Wayne County. Enlisted in company C, Sixteenth Infantry, as Drummer, Aug. 1, 1861, at Flint, for 3 years, age 18. Mustered Sept. 7. 1861. Wounded and taken prisoner at Gaines' Mills, Va., June 27, 1862. Corporal. Wounded in action June 24, 1863. Transferred to Invalid Corps Dec. 9, 1863. Discharged Nov. 14, 1865, from company D, Twelfth Regiment, Veteran Reserve Corps.
