Babbitt, Darwin H. Ypsilanti. Enlisted in company K, Fifth Cavalry, Aug. 21, 1862, at Detroit, for 3 years, age 18. Mustered Sept. 2, 1862. Taken prisoner at Hawes' Shop, Va., May 28, 1864. Released Jan. 27, 1865. Mustered out at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., June 22, 1865.
