Was in the following battles: Blackburn's Ford, Bull Run, Yorktown, White Oak Swamp, Cedars, Chancellorsville, Malvern Hill, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Wapping Heights, Auburn, Kelly's Ford, Locust Grove, Mine Run, Wilderness, Todd's Tavern, Spottsylvania, North Anna, Tolopotomy Creek, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Deep Bottom, Poplar Grove Church and Boydton Plank Road.
