Sergeant Dec. 1, 1863. First Sergeant Dec. 17, 1864. Taken prisoner at Thompson's Station, Tenn., March 5, 1865, and confined in Libby prison. Was in the battle of Resaca, Cassville, New Hope Church, Golgotha, Kenesaw Mountain and Peach Tree Creek, Ga. Mustered out at Washington, D. C., June 10, 1865. Present residence, Lansing, Mich. (Descriptive Roll Nineteenth Michigan Volunteers).
