Commissioned First Lieutenant, Oct. 8, 1864. Mustered Nov. 2, 1864. Commissioned Captain Sept. 19, 1864. Mustered Feb. 4, 1865. Mustered out at Jeffersonville, Ind., July 5, 1865. Was in the following battles: Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Kelly's Ford, Auburn, Locust Grove, Mine Run, Wilderness, Spottsylvania, North Anna, Cold Harbor, Deep Bottom and Boydton Plank Road.
