Corporal May 1, 1865. Mustered out at DeLaney House, D.C., July 28, 1865. Served in the Wilderness campaign and participated in the following battles: Spottsylvania, North Anna River, Bethesda Church, Cold Harbor, Siege of Petersburg, Peeble's Farm, Boydton Plank Road, Hatcher's Run, Ft. Steadman and capture of Petersburg. Wounded by piece of shell at Cold Harbor, June 3, 1864. Present residence, Jackson, Mich (Descriptive Roll Second Michigan Volunteers).
