Black and white photograph from 1962 showing the shoreline along Lake Huron at Grindstone City, Michigan. The view is from the southwest side, looking south-southeast. After World War I, carborundum replaced grindstone, destroying the industry of the town and the town itself. The city is alternatively spelled Grind Stone City.
